The Treasure Centre was established in 2002 by the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary to cater for the needs of individuals with intellectual disability who were unable to function effectively within the mainstream educational system.

The Treasure Centre caters for 155 registered children and young adults with intellectual disabilities, and this number is set to increase through planned community awareness programs, Since the onset of the socio political crises in Cameroon, we have been able to get back 96 of them through planned community. awareness.The age of the students’ ranges from 5 years to 36 years old. The range of disability covers mild to severe disabilities, with a number of individuals who are on the autistic spectrum, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. Most students are from severely underprivileged backgrounds with very poor living conditions.
